Ivet Salazar Portfolio
IVET SALAZAR
Born in Lima, 1989. Having graduated from the Arts and Design Faculty at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, she further complemented her studies at École des Beaux Arts du Mans in France, while also taking illustration, education, ceramics and weaving classes at various institutions. Salazar has participated in several collective exhibitions inside the country and abroad. Recent participations include the "Hilos de la [a]tradición" (also "(A)Tradition threads") at Museo Julio C. Tello, in Paracas, Peru; Salón de Arte Joven Nikkei at Instituto Cervantes in Tokio, Japan; "Hilos de la [a]tradición" at San Marcos Museum in Lima Peru; amongst others. She has also done solo exhibitions such as "Textiles cerámicos: por la fragilidad de nuestra memoria" (also "Ceramic textiles: for our memories fragility") at Museo Qorikancha in Cusco, Peru. Recently, her artistic work is practices within the field of ceramics and textiles, contemplating topics of identity and culture. Her artwork is part of Museum collections such as MAC (Museum of Contemporary Arts in Lima) and Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos (National University San Marcos). Finalist of following contests in Peru: IPAE best Sculptors in Peru and ICPNA - North American Peruvian Cultural Institute Contemporary Art Contest. Already participating at Museum of Contemporary Arts' auction on 2021 and 2022.
